The short version
- We collect only what we need to call you back and do the job: your name, mobile number, area, the service you need and your appliance brand.
- We never sell your data. Your technician sees your details, and so do the tools we use to run the business, such as WhatsApp and Google.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time. Just call or WhatsApp us on +971 52 362 0116.
1. Who is responsible for your data
This website is run by Grand Pearl Technical Services L.L.C (“Grand Pearl”, “we”, “us”), an independent home-services company at Al Rigga, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We decide how and why the personal data described here is used, so we are its controller under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”). Questions: call +971 52 362 0116 or message us on WhatsApp.
2. What we collect
2.1 What you tell us
When you send an enquiry, call or message us: your name, mobile number, area, the service you need, your appliance brand and your message. When we book a visit, also your building, flat or villa number and any access details. If you choose to, you may also send photos or videos of the fault or the area to be worked on.
2.2 What we record during a job
Your service address, the appliance model and serial number, the written quote, the work done, parts fitted, the invoice and payment status. We never ask for or store full card numbers, CVV codes, PINs or online banking passwords.
2.3 What is recorded automatically
If you reach us through an online ad, the ad click ID (such as gclid, gbraid or wbraid) and campaign tags (utm_ parameters) are kept in your browser tab's session storage and sent with your enquiry. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. If Google Ads conversion tracking is switched on, Google may set cookies to tell us whether an ad led to an enquiry. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps short technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not send your details to a font provider.
3. How the enquiry form works
Depending on how the site is set up, the form either opens WhatsApp on your device with your details already typed in, so nothing is sent until you press Send, or it sends your details to us by email through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. Either way, you choose what to include.
4. Why we use it
- To call or message you back and arrange the visit you asked for.
- To inspect, quote for and carry out the work, and to issue invoices and warranty records.
- To handle warranty claims, complaints and refunds.
- To understand which of our ads bring genuine enquiries.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties in the UAE.
We use your data with your consent, which you give when you contact us or send the form, and where it is needed to provide the service you asked for or to meet a legal duty, as the PDPL allows. We will only send you service reminders or offers if you have separately agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
5. Who sees it
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only as needed with:
- the technician assigned to your job;
- service providers who process it for us: messaging (WhatsApp, operated by Meta), form delivery (Web3Forms), ad measurement (Google), website hosting and our accountant;
- government authorities, courts or police, where UAE law requires it.
Some of these providers store or process data outside the UAE. When data leaves the UAE, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer and transfer it only as the PDPL permits. If you message us on WhatsApp, Meta's own privacy policy also applies to that chat.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become a booking: deleted within 12 months.
- Job records and invoices: kept for as long as UAE tax and commercial record-keeping rules require (currently up to 7 years), then deleted.
- Photos or videos you send: deleted once the job and its warranty period are over.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPL you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with;
- correct or complete data that is wrong or out of date;
- erase your data, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- restrict how we use it, for example while we check a correction you asked for;
- stop using it for a purpose you object to, including marketing;
- give you a copy of the data you gave us in a common format, or send it to another business where this is technically possible.
You can also withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything we did before. To make a request, call +971 52 362 0116 or message us on WhatsApp. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
8. Cookies
Grand Pearl's own pages set no tracking or analytics cookies. If Google Ads conversion tracking is switched on, Google may set advertising cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
9. Security
The website runs over HTTPS. Job records are available only to the people who need them. No way of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the UAE Data Office as the PDPL requires.
10. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
